Frank Lampard’s departure and Thomas Tuchel’s arrival in the Chelsea dressing room has brought upon a change of fortunes very few predicted.

Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Everton was Tuchel’s eleventh unbeaten game as manager in London. The Blues edged out Everton from making any kind of real threat, facing only one shot on target from Andre Gomes throughout the game. (whoscored.com)

In winning the match and more importantly keeping a clean sheet, Tuchel became the first Premier League manager in history to register five clean sheets in the first five home games in charge.

No other manager has made such an impact, at least defensively.

It is for the first time in six years, since 2015, that the club has not conceded a single goal in five matches at Stamford Bridge. The last time that happened, Jose Mourinho was the gaffer in the dugout.

Chelsea now sit comfortably in 4th place and look to dethrone the third placed Leicester City and second placed Manchester United – who sit three and four points ahead, respectively.
