Chelsea have lifted the FA Cup after defeating Manchester United 1-0 at Wembley.

Eden Hazard scored the only goal of the game midway through the first-half from the penalty spot. The Belgian won the spot-kick himself, having been brought down by Phil Jones, and was not going to pass up such a good opportunity to score on a day like today.

Man United grew into the game and dominated the second-half. However, they were unable to penetrate Antonio Conte’s sturdy back-line, largely thanks to the heroics of Thibaut Courtois, and subsequently tasted defeat.

Chelsea won the FA Cup, which will have tasted that little bit sweeter after last year’s defeat at Wembley. These players will have been delighted to get their hands on the trophy after a season which will have been difficult to endure for them.
