West Ham 1-0 Chelsea player ratings: Disappointing digits across the board for the Blues

West Ham Chelsea

Chelsea beat West Ham 1-0 at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea really have been this season’s Robin Hood. Stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.

That was shown once again in this campaign as 19th place West Ham dented the Blues’ chances of winning back-to-back league titles.

Despite efforts to get back in the game second half, Chelsea were short of any spark throughout the match.

The best chances for us came late in the game with Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard missing the target.

In general, opposition goalkeeper Adrian was rarely tested as their defence got more and more compact.

Marko Arnautovic’s cool strike past Thibaut Courtois inside six minutes set the bench mark for David Moyes’ men.

The home side’s resilience in front of the London Stadium were on display as Antonio Conte’s team just couldn’t break them down.

It’s a bitter pill to swallow as the title contending teams will be delighted with this result.

Without further ado, here are Chelsea’s player ratings:

Courtois 5, Azpilicueta 4, Christensen 5, Cahill 4, Zappacosta 3, Kante 5, Fabregas 5, Bakayoko 3, Alonso 3, Hazard 6, Morata 3. Substitutes: Moses 5, Pedro 5, Willian 4.
