Stamford Bridge At Night

EA Sports and Chelsea have been working together for the last couple of years, as the Canadian company is the only one having the Premier League license. Our club is also present in the eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer 2020 but under the fictional name London FC, so let’s talk about it the next time.

Now focus is on the game that will most likely get the attention of gamers, and that is FIFA 20. Traditionally, all Chelsea players are scanned before the start of the season, so once again, you’ll be able to recognise them even from a distance, but they will look glorious during the cut scenes.

Authenticity won’t be lacking in the other aspect, including kits and boots, while Stamford Bridge will receive a visual upgrade. Don’t expect miracles, but the lighting will be improved, with more details on the stands. Oh, and did you know that fan chants of every Premier club league club are in the game since FIFA 19? We can expect even more in this year’s edition.

What is especially interesting are the player stats for the season which will be a fresh start for the club with Frank Lambard as manager while Eden Hazard has left for Real Madrid. A lot is expected from Christian Pulisic, so here are predictions of his rating and some other stars in the team.

We don’t expect a change in the goalkeeper position. Kepa Arrizabalaga was 84 in FIFA 19 (which is tremendous for a keeper) and will probably stay that way, even though he saved the team numerous times, including the Europa League penalty shootout against Eintracht Frankfurt. We expect for Cesar Azpiliciueta to remain at 86, while we’re sure that N’Golo Kante will keep his 89, as one of the best CDM in the game.

Don’t be surprised about slight downgrades, as David Luiz might slip to 82 (83 in FIFA 19) as will Jorginho (84 in FIFA 19). Still, you’ll want to keep them in your starting 11. As for the upgrades, we expect Christian Pulisic to rise from 79 to 80 an even more during the season if given a chance to play.

Emerson might jump from 76 to 79, while Loftus-Cheek is expected to go from 77 to 80+. If you are looking for the most significant upgrade, that might Fikayo Tomori which is currently rated at 66. As his boss at Derby was also Frank Lampard, he can expect more playtime and rating of about 73.

Like the lists of best cars or Best XXX Sites, everyone has their opinion about the ratings, and it’s doubtful EA Sports can please everyone. Still, due to all the changes in the team, we expect Chelsea to be one of the most popular clubs in the game, even among players who are not necessarily fans of the club. Here is hoping that the same thing happens in real life too.
