Chelsea have some big decisions to make this summer for a lot of players, and Marina Granovskaia and her team can expect a busy time of negotiations.
However, it is simply the time to now bite the bullet on some big mistakes of the recent past, and clear some of these players out of the club.

Some of these names it is hard to believe are still Chelsea players; some we will make money on, some we will lose a lot on. Swings and roundabouts, but it’s time some of these are moved on, for the wellbeing of the players so that they can settle and focus on the future at a new club, and for Chelsea to get these players and wages off their books.
Ross Barkley
The only one who can really make us some decent money, having only paid £15 million for him from Everton.
Barkley I believe will always be a good player, but never good enough to start for Chelsea. I’d have him as a rotation option, but nothing more. Of course, for him to try and reignite his England career he needs to play, so he must be sold now for a half decent fee.
He only has two years left on his deal this summer, so this is the last time we can get a biggish fee.
Danny Drinkwater
I really have nothing to say here. BIG mistake, BIG loss of £40 million. Just take whatever is offered now please.
Michy Batshuayi
I’ll always be fond of Michy, having got some important goals for us and I always feel he just needs a run of games to show what he can do. However, he will never be good enough to start for Chelsea, time to cash in this summer.
He has one year left on his Chelsea deal this summer, let’s hope Crystal Palace use their option to buy.
Davide Zappacosta
Same as Michy, his deal runs out next summer, so this summer is the time to sell. He would certainly do a job for a number of teams, but he will never be much more than an average squad player.
Baba Rahman
His fee was undisclosed when he joined Chelsea, but we will be lucky to get much for him this summer. Again, it’s a 2022 contract for him, so we must sell this summer.
Tiemoue Bakayoko
It looks like he will be returning to Chelsea again this summer, with Napoli unlikely to sign him or extend the loan deal.
Chelsea will be lucky to even get half the fee they paid for him, and they will probably have to shrink that even more in the face of the pandemic. Bite the bullet and sell, his contract is also up next summer.
To conclude, all of these 6 players MUST be sold by Chelsea this summer, I don’t want to see any contract extensions and more loans. The time to sell is now, and we will have to take some losses. Perhaps we will learn from these errors!
