OK, so maybe not literally, I know there could be a few big names who that IF they did end up at Stamford Bridge this summer as a major signing, then we would all go absolutely wild for.
But with my tongue in my cheek, Chelsea fans will celebrate the departure of Romelu Lukaku more than any new signing this summer!
I realise the deal is only a loan deal and technically he could be back at Chelsea this time next year. However, I have no belief at all that he will ever kick another ball for Chelsea again, and neither will he have that belief. It’s set in stone as far as I am concerned, and rightly so.
Chelsea fans wont want to see his face inside Stamford Bridge ever again, and I am pretty sure that he wont want to set foot back here ever again unless he is trying to score AGAINST us.
It’s become apparent that he has been desperately pushing for a move back to his beloved Inter Milan for many months now, preferring to jump ship and give up on what he described as his ‘dream’ coming back to Chelsea after just a few months of struggling.
It’s just been an absolutely disastrous nightmare of a move and he downed tools in my opinion, and for me, that will never be forgiven. I think most Chelsea fans will be with me celebrating when this one is finally completed, hopefully this Wednesday!
Goodbye Romelu, please don’t come back.
