It’s half time in the Chelsea – West Ham game, and the Blues are in the lead.

Thiago Silva’s bullet header 8 minutes in is the difference between the two teams at the moment, although West Ham threatened more through the first half.

The home team have had their moments, but they still don’t look convincing in possession. They’re giving it away at the back, and not converting possession to chances when it gets further forward.

The whole thing needs to go up a gear – we just don’t look dangerous at the moment, and our previously solid defensive 5 look nervy.

If the game continues in the same patter in the second period, their chances of holding on look bleak.

The good news is that in Christian Pulisic and Timo Werner, Chelsea have two deadly weapons for the counter-attack, and as West Ham push forward looking for a goal, they will only expose their defence more.
