We have just heard the reports from The Athletic that fixtures could be moved back this season so we can see fans back inside the stadiums.

They say that talks are under way that will see the Premier League’s 37th round moved back in order for fans to come watch inside the stadiums again as the Government lift restrictions on supporters inside stadiums.

Chelsea are in for Erling Haaland this summer, find out more here.

For Chelsea this will means fans in attendance for their home match against Leicester City at the end of the season, which is scheduled as their second from last match, and this could be a huge boost for them with both sides fighting for the Champions League.

But not only that, I feel that Thomas Tuchel’s high intensity counter pressing attacking system would benefit massively from having fans back in general.

When you play a defensive setup or one that is less progressive fans can often grow frustrated inside the stadium and that can effect players and results.

But when fans watch a team who are playing with so much intensity and looking to attack and score at all times, fans can really act as that 12th man being vocal and spurring the players on, giving them the extra confidence needed to break the lines or score that goal.

Especially flair players like Callum Hudson-Odoi, fans cheering him trying to take players on for example, will help immensely.

I really believe Tuchel and the style of football he is building will benefit so much more than we think with fans back in the stadium. I mean it sounds obvious, and it is to an extent, but I think we will really see just how important fans can be for this squad and this manager, especially a a manager who is so passionate and animated on the side lines, fans thrive off of that.
