Of course, they are all adults. So if Nicolas Jackson and Chelsea truly did want to continue together, then surely they could find a way to do so? But a lot would need to be squashed for that to happen.
It’s been reported that Jackson is expected to return to Chelsea this summer because his lack of game time at Bayern. The Times say that the idea of him staying at Chelsea has not been ruled out because they changed head coach last month and Jackson is said to be leaving his options open.
Fabrizio Romano has since doubled down on his belief that Jackson is very unlikely to stay at Chelsea beyond the summer, and I agree with him.
I simply do not see a world where Jackson stays at Chelsea now. Remember, this is the guy who point blankly refused to return to Chelsea when the owners asked him to, after an injury to Liam Delap. They attempted to stop the loan move to Bayern Munich, but Jackson said no. He effectively went AWOL.
Jackson’s main issue was with Enzo Maresca, the pair did not see eye to eye come the end. But Jackson was adamant he was not coming back to Chelsea and did not care about the need for him to return.
Even though his issue was with Maresca, and there has now been a manager change, I still don’t see him coming back. I don’t think he will want to for a starters and also, why would Chelsea want him back now after he rejecting their calls for him to return?
As I opened with, they are adults so I’m sure they could work it out if they really wanted to – I’m just not sure they will want to. And also, Chelsea are still looking at other striker options to come in and they have the option of bringing Emmanuel Emegha in the summer.
Just don’t see it and also, I don’t want to see it happen. Bayern don’t rate him, I’ve never overly rated him, at least not as a 9, and too much has happened here for me.
