‘Werner back in his natural position’ – Predicted Chelsea XI to face Man City

Predicted Xi Mendy Zouma Silva

Chelsea will be looking to get back to winning ways after Mondays 1-1 draw at home to Aston Villa.

The Blues face a tricky test at Stamford Bridge against Man City, and currently sit in sixth place in the Premier League table with only one win in their last six games.

Frank Lampard will be looking to play his strongest line-up possible as dropping more point is not a option.

Edouard Mendy will start between the sticks. The Chelsea goalkeeper is having a rememberable debut season and he’ll be looking for a clean sheet tomorrow.

Club captain Cesar Azpilicueta, will start at right-back in place of the injured Reece James. This will be the Spaniards 400th appearance for Chelsea, what a milestone!

While Kurt Zouma and Thiago Silva are unlikely to be broken up after several fine displays throughout the season. At left-back, Ben Chilwell will be looking to make his 14th appearance for the Blues.

In midfield, N’Golo Kante is likely to return to his deep-lying defensive midfield role, joined by Mason Mount and Kai Havertz, together forming Chelsea’s midfield three.

Switching to the attack, Callum Hudson-Odoi seems destined to start on the right-wing after fine displays against Arsenal and Aston Villa. The opposite flank will be occupied by Christian Pulisic, with Timo Werner to be given an opportunity in his preferred centre forward position.
