These Chelsea fans make it shockingly clear what matters in a new owner

I was surprised, yet not surprised at the very same time to see results of a new poll today.

With the new ownership takeover incoming, everyone is having their own views and opinions on who they want to take the reigns and of course, we are all entitled to our own views on this as Chelsea fans.

However, what is concerning about this poll today is that it makes it clear that many, although we must stress not all, Chelsea fans are clearly just all about the new owners coming in and spending lots of money on shiny new players, and that morals and values of the people who will be in charge doesn’t matter as much.

As I say, I’m not surprised. This is modern-day football and modern-day fanfare, it’s exactly what many fans are obsessed with, getting a team full of superstars.

We won’t see another Roman Abramovich at Chelsea, that I am quite sure about. So, some fans really need to get to grips with reality a little bit and see the bigger picture here.

Of course, we all like to see quality players filling our squad and if we want to keep competing with those at the top, we DO need investment in the squad and we all know that. But for that to be more important than a racist owner, just for example, is really quiet a shocking look in my view.

Ideally, we want all three, an owner with morals and values but is also keen to invest in the squad and rebuild Stamford Bridge. That’s obviously the goal. But I think some need to check their priorities here.
