John Terry was back at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon to cheer on his beloved Chelsea side, the former Blues captain has revealed on his Instagram page.

Terry was at Chelsea for over 20 years before bowing out at the end of the 2016/17 campaign as a Premier League champion. His influence has already been missed both on and off the field, but it looks as though even now he is living in the midlands and playing for Aston Villa, he is still eager to get to the Bridge to cheer on his former teammates.

We certainly could have done with Terry’s classy distribution from the back against Arsenal. Time and time again we misplaced passes while trying to build from the defence and allowed the Gunners too many opportunities which were created by our own mistakes.

The ex-England international posted the below photo on his Instagram page of his view of the game. It’s a shame we couldn’t take all three points in front of one of the best players ever to pull on a Chelsea shirt.

Great to be back at the Bridge supporting the boys 💙⚽️ @chelseafc
