Chelsea are interested in signing Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez, according to Tribal Football.
Mahrez had a season to forget last time around, but it’s important to remember how good he was during Leicester’s against-the-odds title triumph in the 2015/16 campaign. He was instrumental.
As per Tribal Football, Chelsea are keen to add Mahrez to their ranks before the end of the summer transfer window. It is reported that Antonio Conte has already held talks with the Algeria international ahead of the potential move.
Tribal Football report that Chelsea are prepared to part with more than £46M in order to secure Mahrez’s services before the window slams shut this Thursday. They note that the deal is complicated due to the lack of the time remaining, but it could still materialise in the coming days.
Mahrez would be an upgrade on Willian and Pedro at right-wing. Only time will tell if Chelsea can get the deal done.
