Fabrizio Romano has today been reporting on an interesting Chelsea story – the potential departure of Alejandro Garnacho.
The winger has been put up for sale by the Blues, who apparently want £40m or more for him. Romano’s update referred to potential interest from Aston Villa, who are about to send Morgan Rogers the other way for £117m.
Villa and Roma compete for Chelsea winger

“It’s also important to mention that Aston Villa are still looking for wingers,” Romano said on his Youtube show today.
“For example, I am told that one of the points of conversation with Chelsea was also about Alejandro Garnacho, but at the moment, the priority for Garnacho is to explore different possibilities. So, at this moment, Aston Villa Garnacho is not something concrete, but was one of the points of discussion during the meeting.
“Garnacho has an offer from Rome in Italy, and Roma are going very big for him, so we have to understand what happens there.”
Roma still seems like the favourite to sign Garnacho – although their are trying to make Chelsea accept some kind of loan deal with an option, while the Blues are holding out for a permanent move or a guaranteed future signing.

Chelsea have finally made a “formal offer” for their first choice defender target in the window, but there is a threat from Arsenal, who are now also in the market for a player at the back.
Crystal Palace are playing hard-ball over Lacroix, and have apparently added €10m to his asking price as interested parties gather around the defender.
