Axel Disasi has joined Crystal Palace on loan for the season, the Blues have announced on their official website this afternoon.

Chelsea have finally confirmed the loan deal of Axel Disasi to Crystal Palace.
The club announced on their official website that the centre back would join the Eagles for the season on loan. Reports from insiders hold that there is no purchase clause in the deal.
Disasi did well on loan at West Ham in the second half of last season, and there will be high hopes he can do well for Palace this year too. The plan will still be to sell him long term, but he may be able to boost his value with a good season.
Chelsea continue defensive trim
With Disasi gone, Chelsea are now down to 6 first choice centre backs from the 10 they had not long ago. If they can move on Tosin – who has been linked with Benfica – they can be delighted with their progress.
The problem here is the lack of a purchase option – we’ve got a horrible feeling we’ll be spending all of next summer writing about the club trying to find a loan for Disasi all over again. Still, in the short term this is a useful move, and another move ticked off the long list of deals still to do for the Blues.
