Chelsea have been offered encouragement in their pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal.
According to The Sun, via Kicker, the Bundesliga champions will allow the Chile international to depart the Allianz Arena if their £50M valuation is met.
As per The Sun, the Premier League champions are interested in signing Vidal, but are only willing to pay £34M, considerably less than Bayern’s valuation.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea would be willing to pay such an inflated figure for the 30-year-old, or Bayern would be willing to compromise and meet us in the middle.
Where would he fit?
Antonio Conte has shown willingness in recent weeks to use 3-5-2, opposed to the 3-4-3 which was so successful for us last term.
The prospect of seeing Vidal lineup alongside N’Golo Kante and Tiemoue Bakayoko in the middle of the park is utterly mouthwatering. Only time will tell if this rumour has any substance to it – we keep our fingers crossed!
