Chelsea are open to selling Alejandro Garnacho just a year after signing him – but they will only accept permanent deals.

When it comes to players Chelsea might be willing to sell this summer, there are no shortage of options.
The Blues have a whole load of central defenders they need to shift, but there are players through the whole team who could go.
The Athletic’s Deal Sheet names one attacker who is already pretty clearly surplus to requirements and that we’re pretty sure the Blues would love to shift.
Permanent deal on the cards for Chelsea winger

“Chelsea are ready to listen to offers for winger Alejandro Garnacho,” they write.
“Despite joining from Manchester United for £40m just one year ago, he has been left off their ‘not for sale’ list. They are aware of interest from two clubs playing in the Champions League next season. The club are only willing to accept a permanent transfer for the 22-year-old.”
As it stands, we can’t see anyone offering a permanent deal large enough to persuade us to sell. We expect we’ll have to watch Garnacho in Blue for at least one more year. Let’s hope he does a little better, and generates some more serious interest next summer if he wants to leave again.
In other news…
Sunderland have put their foot down and said Granit Xhaka won’t be leaving, and it looks like Chelsea are going to respect that.
Chelsea are going to sign “at least” one central defender this summer. They’ve then got a tough job on their hands to sell multiple others.
