Andrey Santos has not yet joined Manchester United officially, but it’s being recognised as effectively a done deal.
That leave Chelsea one midfielder down – the fact they’re not playing in Europe this season might mean that they are simply willing to continue with that setup. But there are still plenty of reports about interest in other player.
Chelsea chase midfielder who struggled in Premier League spell

CaughtOffside yesterday had a report claiming that Danilo of Botafogo in Brazil is a target for the Blues. They say that Chelsea “have already made enquiries” over the box to box midfielder, who had a spell in the Premier League with Nottingham Forest.
Ironically, Forest was where Santos had his first spell in English football, where he also struggled to get into the team. He moved back to Brazil last summer for around £22m, and Chelsea would likely have to pay more than that to bring him back.

Alejandro Garnacho seems closer to leaving Chelsea than anyone expected at this point – it’s been said that he’s “close” to a deal to leave the club.
Reece James has been struggling for fitness for England, but he made an impact last night and could yet play a huge role in this World Cup.
