Chelsea have agreed a fee with Arsenal to sign England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to Sky Sports.

As per Sky Sports, the Premier League champions have reached an agreement with their rivals to sign the 24-year-old subject to a medical and the agreement of personal terms. It’s thought that parts of his medical could take place at the England training ground, St George’s Park.

Sky Sports claim that Oxlade-Chamberlain, whose Arsenal contract expires at the end of the season, has rejected a £180K-a-week contract offer from the Gunners and now looks set to embark on a new challenge at Stamford Bridge.

Sky Sports note that Liverpool were also thought to be in the race to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain, but Chelsea appear to have pipped them to the post.

Oxlade-Chamberlain can play in a variety of positions. His versatility will be of great use to us during the busy season that lies ahead.
