The transfer window is absolutely peaking right now, with Chelsea having confirmed multiple signings to the fist team in the last week. There are a host of sales close to completion too.

We’ve heard all summer that striker Marc Guiu is available for sale. That’s no surprise – he’s barely featured featured since signing from Barcelona two years ago. What is notable is that Simon Johnson has now put a price tag on him – he says Chelsea’s asking price is £25m.

It’s an outrageous ask for a player who has shown almost nothing apart from willingness to run around in his time at Stamford Bridge.
That wouldn’t matter so much if Guiu was going to have room to sit around as a third choice forward. But the additions of Emmanuel Emegha and Danny Welbeck this summer, plus the absence of European football this season, mean there’s a desperate need to sell multiple strikers as soon as possible.
