Trevoh Chalobah’s move to Como is inching closer – but it’s taking a long time to get the Italian side to offer what Chelsea want.
A report today from the well connected Ben Jacobs claims that Como are now in “advanced talks” to sign the defender and have made a “third bid” for him worth around “£26m.”
Meanwhile the Blues’ asking price is £30m up front with a further £5m in bonuses.

This deal has dragged on far too long, perhaps because of Chalobah’s participation at the World Cup. But Chelsea do look like they will end up getting the money they want, or close to it, so they won’t mind the slow pace.
Inter Milan were in the race at some point, but appear to have let Como take the lead now. Maxence Lacroix is close to arriving as Chelsea’s replacement for the home grown Chalobah, whose sale will be a welcome boost of pure profit for the books.
We’d be very surprised if this isn’t a done deal by this time next week. Chalobah will get the chance to play for Cesc Fabregas and compete in the Champions League.
