Trevoh Chalobah is on the verge of signing for Como after the Italian side finally agreed a transfer fee with Chelsea.

After a long summer of negotiations, Chelsea finally have a fee agreed to sell Trevoh Chalobah to Como.
The Athletic report that it’s a €36m deal, which also includes a sell-on clause.
The Blues already had a large number of central defenders on their books, and they expanded that number further with the addition of Maxence Lacroix. But Chalobah’s departure was always on the cards – it was just a matter of getting the right price.
It took a long time – Inter Milan were also in the race early on, but in the end it’s just come down to Como.
Chalobah started 31 of 38 Premier League games for Chelsea last season, once again establishing himself as their best central defender while Levi Colwill was out injured.

With Chalobah gone, it looks clear that Chelsea’s first choice central defensive pairing next season will be Lacroix and Colwill. Wesley Fofana will likely stick around and try to earn a starting spot, while Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi are almost certain to be loaned out or sold.
