But you can’t win them all, and according to reports in Germany, they’re set to miss out on one of their favourites from this summer.
The last couple of weeks had seen intensifying reports that the Blues were interested in Kerim Alajbegovic from Bayer Leverkusen. But the word today from German sport paper Kicker is that he’s agreed a move to Juventus.

This report says that Chelsea were in “concrete negotiations” with Leverkusen, and even made a “last minute” attempt to “snatch the deal.”
But the 18 year old ultimately “chose Turin and the better sporting prospects there, as he is expected to be a regular starter at Juventus.” Fair enough, we can’t complain about that. He was hardly going to be starting ahead of Morgan Rogers, Cole Palmer or Estevao right now.
He will fly to Italy to complete the move tomorrow, with the move potentially costing Juventus €40m for Bosnia’s World Cup breakout star. Good luck to him out there…
