Chelsea are growing confident that they will be able to prise Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain away from Arsenal this summer, according to the London Evening Standard.

The London Evening Standard report that Arsene Wenger is set to rule out the sale of the England international, who has just one-year remaining on his contract with the Gunners.

As per the London Evening Standard, the two clubs are yet to find an agreement over the transfer of Oxlade-Chamberlain, but are locked in negotiations with the Premier League champions growing confident that a deal will be struck.

The London Evening Standard claim that Wenger would keep hold of Oxlade-Chamberlain in an ideal world, but the 23-year-old wants to ensure he’s playing regular football ahead of the World Cup in Russia next year.

It is reported that Antonio Conte is prepared to provide him with that, and the Blues are optimistic that a £35M agreement will be found with Arsenal. Would he be the answer to our problems at right-wing-back?
