Chelsea are in negotiations to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to MARCA.
As per MARCA, Antonio Conte has lined up Aubameyang as a potential reinforcement for his front-line this summer, after missing out on Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United.
MARCA believe that Chelsea’s pursuit of Aubameyang will not be straight forward, with Paris Saint-Germain also showing interest in securing the Gabonese international’s services.
However, the Spanish outlet believe that the Premier League champions lead the race, and a bid in the region of £62M may be enough to convince Dortmund to part wth their prolific centre-forward.
It is reported that Chelsea chasing Aubameyang will not be good news for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, who had eyed a switch to Stamford Bridge having been snubbed by Man United boss Jose Mourinho.
If we do end up signing Aubameyang this summer, and he is able to replicate the performances he has put in during his time in the Bundesliga, it could turn out to be one hell of an acquisition.
