Antonio Conte has entered the race to sign exciting young midfield talent Renato Sanches from Bayern Munich, according to the Telegraph.

As per the Telegraph, the Chelsea manager is looking to beat AC Milan to the signature of the 19-year-old who starred for Bayern Munich in their 3-2 victory over the Blues on Tuesday.

The Telegraph report that the Blues manager spoke to Carlo Ancelotti after the game to enquire about the possibility of signing the Portugal international.

Although Chelsea tend to look to strengthen their squad with permanent deals, the Telegraph understands that the Premier League champions are happy take Sanches on loan rather than signing the young midfielder on a permanent basis.

The Telegraph note that Chelsea have already spent over £130M this summer with the signings of Alvaro Morata, Antonio Rudiger, and Tiemoué Bakayoko.

However, the Telegraph believe that Conte still wants to make more signings ahead of the Blues’ title defense next season and Renato Sanches appears to be the Chelsea manager’s latest target.
