Chelsea are the second favourites with the bookies to sign West Ham attacker Marko Arnautovic.
West Ham fans will dread to think where they would be without Arnautovic’s influence. His five goals in ten Premier League appearances this term have dragged the Hammers away from the relegation zone and into 13th in the table.
Chelsea fans will need some convincing that Arnautovic is up to the standard required to feature in our front-line, but we ought to get used to the idea of the club targeting him.
As the Express report, Maurizio Sarri’s side are the second favourites to sign Arnautovic, narrowly behind Manchester United. That’s not to say our interest is genuine, but it may be a little indication that it is.
We ought to be targeting a right-winger who can match the performances and output of Eden Hazard on the left. We’re not convinced that Arnautovic has displayed the level of consistency he would require to play that role.
