Chelsea are plotting a triple-swoop for three Premier League based players on transfer deadline day, according to the Guardian.
The Chelsea board have left the bulk of their transfer business to the last minute, and now find themselves in a desperate scrap to draft in reinforcements before the 11pm deadline.
The first player the Blues are targeting, as per the Guardian, is Swansea City’s Fernando Llorente. It is reported that the Spaniard is the most likely to become a Chelsea player out of the three, and the £15M deal will be concluded if the Swans secure a replacement.
As well as Llorente, the Guardian claim that Chelsea are also still after Leicester City’s Danny Drinkwater, who will cost as much as £35M according to the report.
Finally, the Guardian report that Chelsea will look to sign Ross Barkley from Everton. It is claimed that the Toffees’ initial valuation was an eye-watering £50M.
If the Guardian are to be believed, Chelsea could be set for a deadline day £100M splash.
