Antonio Conte considers signing Juventus left-back Alex Sandro this summer as a priority, despite the Serie A champions insisting that he will not be leaving the club this summer, according to Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
Sandro is widely considered one of the best left-backs in the world – only Real Madrid phenom Marcelo sits above him in the rankings. He would be a considerable upgrade on Marcos Alonso, and could form a lightening partnership with Eden Hazard down the left-hand-side.
The only issue is, according to Di Marzio that Juventus have absolutely no interest in parting with him this summer. The Italian journalist claims that Juve have resisted all approaches from the Blues, but we are not giving up hope – yet.
Di Marzio report’s that Chelsea are still in touch with Sandro’s representatives, and we could see developments in the next few hours. We eagerly await further news on this one.
