Morgan Gibbs-White is a name we’ve heard connected to Chelsea a lot, and expect to continue to hear in the future.

Chelsea look to have done most of their business, and are very much in “selling mode” right now. That doesn’t mean they’re not still keeping an eye on targets, often with a view to next summer.
Chelsea insider Simon Phillips has written on his Substack today that the Blues are interested in Morgan Gibbs-White. That is a long standing thing – like the other top clubs in the division we’re waiting for a chance to try and sign the outstanding midfielder. But in Chelsea’s case it’s now tied in to the Midlands team’s interest in Liam Delap.
“I just know that there is Chelsea interest and he is now a name given to me by sources just yesterday. So confirming there is something there,” he concludes.
Chelsea step up long term ambition to sign MGW

MGW is not going to be moving this summer, and if he goes next summer, it will be for perhaps more than his former teammate Elliot Anderson did this summer.
However, we can see a situation where Enzo Fernandez leaves Chelsea a year from now for £100m+, and the Blues spend that money (plus a little more) on Gibbs-White.
In other news…
In terms of sales, there are now two Premier League teams looking at Liam Delap, who is training separately from Chelsea’s main squad.
There is a worrying silence over Nicolas Jackson right now – but a new team has entered the race, which potentially swings things in Chelsea’s favour.
