Promising Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen could be used in a player-plus-cash deal to sign Antonio Candreva from Inter Milan this summer, according to Italian publication TuttoSport.
As per TuttoSport, Antonio Conte is keen to sign Candreva who he managed during his spell with the Italian national side and could use Andreas Christensen – a player which Inter Milan like very much – as makeweight in a deal to clinch the 30-year-old Italian winger.
Chelsea’s Italian coach is looking to add a host of new players to his squad and, in particular, wants to add competition for places in the wing-back positions, according to the Italian outlet.
TuttoSport report that Inter Milan are unwilling to let Candreva leave the Serie A outfit unless a replacement is found. However, it appears that Chelsea could offer Andreas Christensen in order to tempt the Italians into selling the 30-year-old.
This news from TuttoSport will come as some what of a surprise to Chelsea fans given that Andreas Christensen was recalled by Chelsea this summer and had been given the no.27 shirt ahead of the new season in which it appeared that the Danish defender would be given a chance to fight for a place in the Chelsea first team.
