Chelsea are on the verge of missing out on Tottenham Hotspur left wing back Danny Rose after a report by StarSport says he prefers a move to Manchester United.
As per the StarSport, Rose is on Chelsea’s list of potential options to provide competition for Marcos Alonso at left-wing-back.
It is unclear whether Chelsea pursued him in the summer, but the move never materialised, with Rose remaining a Tottenham player and the Blues sticking with Alonso. The Spain international has performed well in the absence of a new arrival.
The Daily Star, however, report that Chelsea are in for a fight as Man United are back in for the defender to replace Luke Shaw, who is set to depart Old Trafford next summer.
Valued at £45m, StarSport say United are increasingly confident of landing Rose next year.
