We’re not going to sugarcoat it for you, this news we’re about to bring you is probably not true.
That may seem bizarre to say, but it’s best to be realistic considering the unreliable nature of the source.
Don Balon claim that Chelsea are attempting to convince Cristiano Ronaldo to join them this summer.
Ronaldo revealed his discontent at Real Madrid following the Champions League final. He may well be on the move this summer.
The hit-and-miss Spanish publication believe that Chelsea are one of a host of sides hoping to win the race to sign Ronaldo.
Other teams mentioned in the report are Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and, erm… Tottenham Hotspur.
We don’t doubt for second that Roman Abramovich and Marina Granovskaia would love to bring Ronaldo to Chelsea.
However, the finances to recruit the 33-year-old would be entirely unrealistic for the club right now.
Not to mention this is a player who has won three Champions Leagues in a row. We’re not even in the bloody competition!
