Diego Costa’s agent Jorge Mendes is attempting to convince his client to move to AC Milan this summer, according to Calciomercato.
As Calciomercato report, Costa’s relationship with manager Antonio Conte has majorly deteriorated, with the Italian now making it clear that he will allow Chelsea’s top goalscorer to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
Calciomercato claim that AC Milan are keen to secure Costa’s signature, and the Spainard’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is urging him to move to the San Siro.
However, the Italian outlet believe that Costa is only interested in joining Atletico Madrid, who will only be able to register new arrivals in January next year.
It is reported by Calciomercato that Mendes is attempting to talk Costa around, but he is adamant that he will only return to Atletico, and nothing can be said to change this mind.
This saga looks as though it’s going to last the entire transfer window, and potentially beyond.
