Chelsea have “100%” agreed a deal to sign Valentin Barco, according to Fabrizio Romano, who says the midfielder will join soon.

Chelsea’s window has really kicked into gear. After Marco Palestra, they’ve also now signed Morgan Rogers and are closing in on other targets.
They’re still short a signing in midfield, although it’s an open secret that they’ll be adding a player from sister club Strasbourg. Valentin Barco has said his goodbyes in Alsace, and all signs point to him coming to Chelsea. There had been no word on the deal for a while (a little odd, given they’re part of the BlueCo group), so Fabrizio Romano chose to weigh in and reassure everyone that it’s still happening.
Barco move to Chelsea already a done deal
The Italian transfer guru said that “all documents” for Barco to join Chelsea are signed, and that the Argentine will “soon be announced as a new Chelsea player.”
He claims the “here we go” is “100% confirmed”. We’re not sure what the delay in announcing it is.
Despite not playing many actual minutes Barco was one of the Argentina players who really disgraced themselves with his behaviour at this summer’s World Cup, and likely faces some tough reactions from fans around the country, at least for the first few months of this season.

Harrison Bettoni is now a Chelsea player, having today signed from Wigan Athletic. He will stay in the academy and then go on loan in January or next summer.
Chelsea are now considered “likely” to complete a deal for 18 year old talent Kerim Alajbegovic, which raises questions about some of our other wingers.
