Chelsea have been offered major encouragement in their pursuit of Inter Milan wide-man Antonio Candreva, according to Calciomercato.

As per Calciomercato, Candreva has been given the green-light to leave the San Siro this summer if his asking price is met by any potential suitor.

The Italian outlet believe Candreva’s inconsistency during his debut season as an Inter player has left the Serie A heavyweights willing to part with him this summer.

This is great news for Antonio Conte, as Calciomercato note that Premier League champions are interested in taking the 30-year-old to Stamford Bridge.

However, he will come at a price. Calciomercato claim that Inter will demand a fee in the region of £18M in exchange for the Italy international. Only time will tell if that’s a fee Chelsea are willing to pay.

Candreva can operate as a winger or a wing-back, so his versatility could certainly come in handy during the long season ahead.
