Morgan Rogers is taking his medical with Chelsea today, and his £117m move is now all but done. Before he’s even been announced, we’re getting reactions from pundits to the move.
Joe Cole was the first to weigh in, and he was super positive about the whole thing, considering Rogers’ quality, his position, and his existing relationship with Cole Palmer.
Cole thinks Chelsea must be selling Enzo to afford Rogers

“I’m really happy because he’s such a top, top player and he’s performed well,” the former Chelsea winger mused on his podcast when asked about the deal.
“But I think that means Enzo [Fernandez] is probably out the door because you’ve got to balance the books somewhere. I think he’ll play off the left and he’s really good friends with Cole Palmer… I think that’s a really good signing.
“I’m not sure where we’re finding the money from to be honest!”
We’re not sure either, and we would also assume it means that the club think they have a chance of selling Enzo. Right now we’re just not sure who is going to be able to pay us for him.
In other news…
Chelsea’s preseason is gradually getting together, and another slew of players are expected to join up this week.
In another bit of preseason admin, Bernardo Cueva has been moved upstairs to a different role, indicating that Xabi Alonso has his own ideas for set pieces.
