Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has reaffirmed the club’s desire to keep hold of Chelsea target Alex Sandro this summer, report the Daily Mail.
As per the Daily Mail, the Premier League champions are keen on drafting in the Brazilian left-back, who is valued in the region of £60M. Marcos Alonso remains our only natural option at left-wing-back, so it comes as no surprise that Antonio Conte appears to be shopping around for reinforcements in that area.
However, as the Daily Mail report, Allegri has dealt Chelsea a major blow in their attempts to convince Juve to part with him this summer.
When asked whether Sandro could be making the switch to Stamford Bridge before the end of the transfer window, Allegri’s answer was extremely unambiguous, as the Daily Mail report: “Alex Sandro is a Juventus player and he will stay one.”
The clock is ticking, and Chelsea should not waste any more time pursuing targets that are not realistically attainable. It may well be time to move on.
