Things have gone a little quiet on the sales front at Chelsea after there were some impressive moves earlier in the window – but it’s only a matter of time before things get back into gear.
An exclusive from CaughtOffside claims that Manchester City’s interest in Malo Gusto and Enzo Fernandez remains strong, despite a recent decline in the chatter about both moves.

“I’ve been told that City will try again for Malo Gusto,” Mark Brus writes. However, it’s clear that Chelsea’s £75m asking price is too much, and City may not even want to engage in talks if we’re asking for that much.
On Enzo, it’s clear that City’s priority is to keep Rodri. But if the freshly minted World Cup winner pushes to join Real Madrid, as has been rumoured, a move for Enzo becomes more likely.
The problem is that City have already spent £116m on Elliot Anderson this summer. Fernandez would cost a similar amount – it’s almost impossible to see them doing that.
In both cases, high asking prices from Chelsea make us not very positive about any deal getting done despite these rumours.
