This one’s come out of nowhere. Real Madrid have reportedly offered £100M in exchange for Thibaut Courtois and Willian.
We thought that Eden Hazard was top of Real Madrid’s summer transfer wish-list, but it looks as though they may have been priced out of a move for the Belgian.
According to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid have tabled a £100M bid for Hazard’s teammate Willian, as well as long-term target Courtois.
Chelsea are thought to be ‘seriously’ considering the offer, which would surely match our valuations of the near 30-year-old and goalkeeper who will be available on a Bosman next year.
Though parting with Willian may not be Maurizio Sarri’s intention, if it means that we keep hold of Hazard, it may well be worth it.
A hundred million is a lot of cash. It’s money that we could reinvest into long-term replacements. What do you reckon, Blues? Should we accept it?
