Real Madrid are refusing to budge on their inflated valuation of Chelsea target Alvaro Morata, according to AS.

AS report that Romelu Lukaku, who was previously in the Blues’ crosshairs, is set to sign for Premier League rivals Manchester United, with former manager Jose Mourinho stealing the Belgian from under the noses of his former employers.

As per AS, Chelsea will now turn their attentions to Morata, but Real are standing firm on their asking price, which is proving problematic.

It is reported that Los Blancos are demanding a whopping £70M in exchange for the 24-year-old, a fee that Chelsea appear to be unwilling to pay – understandably so.

AS note that Diego Costa is on his way back to Atletico Madrid, which has been a forgone conclusion for some time now, so Antonio Conte is in desperate need of reinforcements at the spearhead of his attack. Only time will tell if Morata is the solution to his struggles.
