The Express have jumped on the bandwagon of linking Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez with a deadline day move to Premier League champions Chelsea.
As per the Express, a source close to Mahrez has revealed that the player’s family want to live in London. It is reported that he definitely will not be signing for Barcelona as his family have no interest in living there.
The Express claim that Mahrez’s first choice would be a move to Arsenal, but the Gunners are chasing AS Monaco’s Thomas Lemar, and thus the Algerian has decided that he will be joining Chelsea today.
This news comes after The Sun reported earlier in the day that Mahrez was on the verge of completing a £45M move to Chelsea. There does appear to be something in the rumours linking the 26-year-old with us, but the clock is ticking – we need to act fast in order to get this deal over the line.
