On a busy Deadline Day, Chelsea seem close to wrapping up a loan deal which their fans would consider very important.
Youth team striker Shim Mheuka has been a goal machine for the Blues’ academy sides, and is now preparing to make his first senior move. Celtic have been lined up as his destination, and Anthony Joseph of Sky Sports says that the youngster will take a medical in London today ahead of completing the move.
Celtic an ideal destination – but Mheuka has missed crucial time

We don’t know what’s gone on with Shim behind the scenes, but it does seem mad to have waited until now to make this move. He could have been at Celtic for a month already and might have played a few games by now if we had been more organised.
There’s still plenty of season left, but Shim now faces an uphill battle compared to if he had made the move weeks ago. His rivals will be up to speed and have had a chance to settle in.
Still, we can’t wait to see him in action. Celtic do have a number of strikers already, but if Shim gets his chance we back him to take it.
