There are a number of players we really expect Chelsea to sell this summer. Given he only arrived a year ago, and the club would struggle to get their £40m back, we didn’t have Alejandro Garnacho on that list. However, the wheels are turning, and it’s very clear in the last 48 hours that either his camp or Chelsea are opening doors to a departure.
Garnacho chances of leaving now “concrete” after latest report
All the top Chelsea transfer sources, from Fabrizio Romano to Ben Jacobs, are starting to talk more and more about a potential departure, and bit by bit it’s feeling more likely.
Jacobs was this morning talking about “Premier League interest” and an “enquiry” from Saudi Arabia for the winger. Meanwhile, Romano pointed out that a “permanent transfer proposal could be one to watch,” adding that the possibility of him leaving was now “concrete.”
We’re still not sure who would offer us what for him after such a poor year – we won’t be willing to take a big loss on the money we paid. We wonder if Garnacho fancies a spell in Saudi? It would be very useful for Chelsea if he would…
