Lavia gets rare Chelsea goal

Pedro Neto ghosts in to score

The opener was about as simple a goal as you could hope for. A good move down the right saw the Blues win a corner, which was swung in to Joao Pedro who flicked it on at the near post.

The ball ended up in a danger zone in front of of goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen, who should have held it. The keeper fumbled it, defender Mats Wieffer tried to head it away, but ended up just knocking it out of his keeper’s reach.

It fell for midfielder Lavia just a yard out, and he poked the ball in.

The second was even nicer. Joao Pedro’s header put Morgan Rogers into space, and he raced away down the left and played a perfect low cross for Pedro Neto, who flicked the ball in first time off the outside of his boot.
