Arsenal fans appear convinced that former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is in line to replace Arsene Wenger as manager.
Ancelotti was a fan-favourite during his time at Stamford Bridge. The Italian won the Premier League title during his debut season in SW6. We also broke the record that year for the most goals scored in a Premier League campaign, with the champions finding the back of the net 103 times.
His dismissal was perhaps the harshest of the Roman Abramovich era. The Russian splashed a club-record fee on Fernando Torres during the January transfer window of 2011, and Ancelotti took the blame for the Spaniard’s shortfalls.
There have been suggestions that Ancelotti, who is without a club, could return to Chelsea if Antonio Conte departs at the end of the season. However, the Gunners faithful appear to believe that he could be taking the reins in North London instead.
Ancelotti posted the below picture on Twitter of himself at Saturday’s North London derby.

A man who loves football, attending one of the biggest Premier League fixtures on the calendar – we shouldn’t be reading too much into that, surely? Well, many have…
Welcome to Arsenal, Ancelotti. We need you badly.

I trust Ancelotti to sell these useless defenders when he joins Arsenal next season.
