‘THERE HAS BEEN INTEREST’ – Chelsea target provides compelling update on his future

Reported Chelsea managerial target Luis Enrique has broken his silence on his future amid continual links of a move to Stamford Bridge or the Emirates.

On paper, Enrique looks to have all the credentials to take the hot-seat from Antonio Conte, should the Italian depart in the summer.

Conte leaving appears to now be a foregone conclusion. The Chelsea board will undoubtedly have one eye on his successor, and The Sun believe that Enrique is in the running.

The Spaniard won the treble during his time as Barcelona boss. Though, he was blessed with one of the best front-lines in football history in the shape of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar (MSN, if you like).

We wouldn’t bet against seeing Enrique in the Chelsea dugout next season, but the 47-year-old has revealed that he is still waiting for the right offer before making a final decision on his future.

Enrique is quoted by The Sun saying:

“There has been interest from clubs, but it has to be something that really excites me. There’s no other club where I’ll be able to work with better players than at Barca.”

Is he the right man to take Chelsea back to the top? Let us know in the comments.
