Chelsea are exploring options over who will replace Antonio Conte next season.
With plenty of names like Luis Enrique, Massimiliano Allegri and Thomas Tuchel being part of the discussion, a new man has been targeted to take the Stamford Bridge helm.
According to Yahoo Sport’s Duncan Castles, AS Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim’s availability has been inquired by Chelsea.
Jardim has done a fantastic job as the French club’s coach, winning Ligue 1 last season and reaching the Champions League semi-finals with a youthful squad containing the likes of now Blues midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The Venezuelan’s deal at Monaco expires in 2020 which includes a €7.5m release clause. Despite a seemingly disappointing season for his team that were knocked out of the Champions League, Monaco have remained faithful to Jardim and it may be hard for Chelsea to break a great relationship.
However, the likelihood of a summer rebuild that could also see a new director and a squad overhaul provides a fascinating opportunity for Jardim.
