The REAL reason Chelsea lost against Leicester today, not Sarri’s fault

THIS is the reason that Chelsea lost against Leicester City today. There are other contributing factors, but none more significant than this.

The Blues had FOUR ‘big chances’ to find the back of the net, missing them both. We also struck the woodwork on two occasions, which is just rotten luck.

You can blame Maurizio Sarri’s team selection, you can even blame his substitutions, but what on Earth is he supposed to do when his team can’t hit a barn door?

Chelsea had sufficient opportunities to WIN this game, yet we are leaving Stamford Bridge having gifted an ordinary Leicester City side three points in a crucial period for us.

If Sarri wants to stick with playing without a striker, fine, but we need to sign a winger in January who is capable of finding the back of the net. Pedro is sporadically effective, but Willian is just a joke.

Ultimately the manager will be held responsible for the failures of the team, and we’re not saying that Sarri is exempt from criticism today, but we lost this game because we missed chances, while Leicester’s number nine made us pay.
