As if losing to Leicester City in front of your own supporters isn’t bad enough, Chelsea lost it by an inch – literally.
The seconds ticked down towards the final whistle, with Jamie Vardy’s second-half strike being the difference between the two sides in West London.
Chelsea needed a moment of inspiration from somewhere in order to rescue us valuable point in our quest for Champions League qualification.
We thought we had it when Marcos Alonso raced through on goal in the 90th minute. What came next was utterly heartbreaking.
Alonso opened his body up, beat Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel, but his side-footed effort cannoned off the post and away to safety.
We lost an inch. Literally, a bloody inch.
